Hello Friend,

We hope you stayed safe and warm during the historic blizzard we had over the weekend. The good news is we only have 48 days until the first day of spring!

This spring we have great hopes for in-person outdoor events. One of them being the Boston Marathon. This year we are very lucky to have two runners ready to conquer the annual race to raise awareness for SCI/D and to raise funds for the GBC. Please help them reach their goals by clicking here for Meagan Kearny and clicking here to support Ava Glazier. We wish them both luck in their Journey to the finish line and we look forward to cheering for them on the course!

In solidarity,

The GBC

A Good Read

MASSACHUSETTS GOLF COMMUNITY INSPIRED BY NEW ADAPTIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Check out Jerry Donovan's story of how he got into adaptive golf and what he and his friends are doing to improve the sport for adaptive athletes. Jerry has been a peer mentor with the GBC for many years and he loves getting his peers out on the links. Jerry, thank you for everything you've done for those in need. Fairways and greens all the way!

"Donovan pulled through and wanted to make sure he and others in similar physical condition could have an active and fulfilling life. Like many individuals living with permanent disabilities, Donovan has found comfort in golf. He discovered the sport during a clinic at Spaulding Rehabilitation and became one of the first to own a Paramobile, an an all-terrain, heavy-duty wheelchair that allows physically-impaired individuals to stand up to swing and navigate the golf course."
